These pages feature pictures of models made using a computer which are then printed photographically at various scales. Simple scenarios, objects or spaces are rendered in a visual form approaching a simple realism. The work is driven by the associative potential of modest, everyday things and attempts to offset the isolating tendencies of an increasingly computerised, mediated environment by using these very tools to represent - albeit modest - signs of life.

This is a practice immersed in a medium whose industrial and technological development has been informed by scientific knowledge as much as artistic imperative. There is an odd relationship between subjectivity, imagination and this programmed, encoded world. Reflecting my ambivalence about the rationalising tendencies of technological media, the works are concerned with the absorption of speculation and uncertainty into this ‘apparatus’.
